Weems Family Kennel (Portales, New Mexico)

I drove all the way from Albuquerque and it was well worth it! I got a mini dachshund from him and it was perfect! Ive had her for a little over a year now and she is a healthy happy dog. I never had any problems with her and she is such a great dog.

One and half years later and I am still 100% ++ satisfied. It was the best choice I could have chosen. I frequently check their sight for the opportunity to get another. Looking forward to working with them again!

We got the most adorable little cocker spaniel puppy for Weems Family Kennel! Janice was the absolute nicest, and responded to text message right away. Super easy transaction. You can tell they take great care of their dogs. Will definitely be back in the future ❤

I got a Siberian Husky from here on October 22, 2020 and he was about almost 12 weeks. When we drove 3hours to portales to pick up our puppy and at purchased she said 3 people wanted our puppy but never came for him before he got him. Also that our puppy was having runs and that he should be fine in a few days and just to feed him chicken, rice, broth, eggs, yogurt, and cottage cheese and pumpkin?. My husband and I fell in love with our puppy the first time me saw him and on the way home our puppy pooped on himself while sleeping and it was just running down his legs and he had no reflect to hold his poop while asleep. I know puppies will have accidents but this didn’t feel normal but then I told my husband it should clear in a few days and he’ll be fine. After that incident I noticed that our puppy had a hernia and lady did not tell us about til we had left home and called her about it. The lady stated that she knew and forgot to tell us and said that it shouldn’t go any more but if it does that our vet can fix it and just to ask out vet. She told us he should be back to Health after a few days when her policy states 3 days! And my puppy has been back and forth to the vet and tests came back negative and lost weight and stayed at the vets over night and was on medications and had seizures and past today 12/22/2020. if you are thinking of getting a husky I suggest going else where that takes better care of the puppies instead of caring more about money than the health of the puppy!! After I had confronted her in messages about the continues issues the puppy was having still after we brought him home she said he was the only one that she ever had problems with in all her years! And also stated that another person had him before and took him back to her. And we did not know this information till a few weeks ago. We followed every precaution of protecting our new family member. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING A HUSKY FROM HERE.

My family and I had a horrible experience here. Originally being told the puppy was for sale for $400, immediately upon arriving she told us we owed her 500$ and wouldn’t let.us get the dog unless we paid her the remaining 400$. She would not disclose how much we owed her on the receipt. That is one issue! Changing her prices WHEN WE FINALLY ARRIVE IN PORTALES TO GET OUR PUPPY (after a four hour drive).
Issue number two I’d that they are extremely emotionallly abusive here. None of the puppies recurve the emotional support any creature being raised deserves to have.
#issue 3 now our puppy is absolutely terrified of humans. She plays okay with my other dog, however she is deathly terrified of humans. She will bite just to not be held, and will hide in a corner all night. I understand puppies are timid, but this puppy has definitely received a heavy amount of emotional abuse.

I purchased a Siberian husky from here…. I would not suggest purchasing through this PUPPY FACTORY.if you’re in the market for a Siberian husky. There are wonderful breeders in Belen new mexico we purchased my other husky through, and I must say they are kind and nurturing to their dogs. My puppy has only has wonderful human interactions since an early age and he is the sweetest thing.

Please rethink your reasons for coming to weeks

We drove down to Portales from Albuquerque and RESCUED a cocker spaniel from the Weems. She was sick 8 of the 9 months she was with us. The first week we had her, we contacted the Weems, we were told to bring her back and pick a new one, like a pair of shoes. After that, they were just rude with us. The puppy was a sick dog from the beginning ticks, parasites, you name it. She ended up having seizures in the end. We would advise to NOT work with these people. They run a very depressing puppy mill.
