My story is one of healing. After I lost my 4th Golden over 40 years I was devasted. My research revealed that US Goldens had a 80% history of dying of cancer ( like my 4) but EU bred Goldens had a 38% history. I set out to find the best breeder and that was Syrah.
I ordered 2 new babies. I drove Holly crazy with pleadings and pictures of my special boy Czar Nicholas IV. Holly found me Milo a very special dog. And my puppy Nicholas V McGinn soon followed. They are my life and my companions. Syrah’s process produces great Goldens with European heritage. In this case Irish. Follow their social media and see for yourself.

Syrah Goldens is the best! I left my puppy there for 4 weeks of training after I picked him out and I cant say enough about how great they were! I got weekly reports on how he was doing. That 4 weeks of training made a huge difference when bringing home home.

Everyone is so great at Syrah Goldens….it like one big family when you get your puppy there! I highly recommend them if you are thinking about a puppy!!

We love our Syrah Golden, Nala. She is extremely sweet, smart, and goofy – she’s everything we wanted in our golden baby. Syrah made the entire process easy and they were extremely responsive to questions even after we brought Nala home.

We love our Butters. However his balls never dropped and he actually has none at all, so we got a stunted tiny retriever man when I wanted a large snuggle buddy. He is still very cute and very healthy for a golden. Weighs about 55 lbs for reference, was hoping for a much larger companion and he is not nearly as fluffy as he should be.

As a veterinarian, I thought I was making a good choice for my family. The website was brilliant. It turned out to be a horrible experience from beginning to end. Looking back, the pick up day was just a huge smoke and mirror show. Our dog, Camo, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at age 6 months by myself and further confirmed by a specialist in Greenville, SC. He was also a very spastic specimen, eating odd things and totally untrainable. Sadly, he passed away at the young age of 2 from eating something crazy. After 2 surgeries, he became septic and I had to euthanize him. I see two other Goldens at my practice in South Carolina from Syrah and they are both a little off. I truly believe that Syrah Goldens is a brilliantly disguised puppy mill. The owner also had her own “on-site” veterinarian. That’s a huge red flag. She kept everything in house and controlled. As a veterinarian, I believe in the freedom to breed and raise dogs without regulation and if this is the case, it is also my duty to warn others about places like this. You can’t hide from Google.
Sincerely, Jackson Walker, DVM

Think about it, they won’t give you any information on clearances until you put a deposit down. Run for the hills. I tried to get any information no heparin elbow either heart clearance and they won’t give it until you put down a deposit. That is crazy
