This place is amazing. The staff/volunteers were all so amazing before, during, and after the adoption process. I had a million questions and they were so thorough and helpful. I adopted my puppy a few months ago back in June. She is the best, she brings so much happiness and joy into my life. These people do an outstanding job of making sure all new puppy owners are properly educated on all the stages a puppy goes through. I’d 10000% recommend them if you’re looking to adopt!!

People that work here are great. But just get your animal checked at a good vet.

The employees are very nice and place appears to be clean. Unfortunately the puppy we got on Saturday got very sick late Monday (Labor Day) evening – lethargic, diarrhea, not eating or drinking and throwing up. We took her to the vet on Tuesday morning and the vet said that the cost to see what was wrong could exceed $1000.00. We called the shelter to let them know. They said they would pay the entire vet bill but the vet said we should return her. He was concerned that she could be very ill. When we told the shelter that we needed to return her on the advice of the vet, their attitude towards us completely changed. They became a bit nasty. It was NOT an easy decision and it was heartbreaking. So sad…she was such a sweet little thing.
UPDATE: We never said we couldn’t afford the bill in my initial phone call. You then asked us bring her back and but we were concerned about driving over an hour with sick puppy, not knowing what was wrong. The tone in your response is unfortunate and similar to how my sister was spoken to on the phone. Maybe nasty wasn’t the best way to describe your tone but your attitude DID completely change. We followed the advice of Dr. Mann a vet I’ve used for over 30 years. I mistakenly wrote that the puppy got sick on Sunday. I’ve corrected that above. However, it was after 9pm Monday evening when she 1st threw up and started showing signs of being ill. Tuesday morning at 8am we called the Dr. 1st, took her in immediately and then called you. My sister was horribly upset and still struggles with the decision to return her.
I wrote a review of the facts…I didn’t bash your shelter or try to discredit you. What your shelter/apotion center does is wonderful but as I’m sure you are aware, not everything goes so well. Please don’t attack me again for reviewing our experience. Take down my review if you don’t like it.
