Anyone searching for a reputable breeder, look no further. Marnie at Shadymist is wonderful and so knowledgeable about the breed. We got our puppy from Marnie in September 2021 and I am still in touch with her….. whether to just send an updated pic of our beautiful Lola or if I have any questions. She’s is always responsive and happy to help with any inquiries I may have. It is very apparent how much she adores her dogs and her pure respect for the breed. I would highly recommend Shadymist for anyone looking to get an English Cream Golden!

Choosing a new member of your family is daunting! Shadymist helps making the addition easier by bringing out all the best of English Cream Golden Retriever traits to her home-raised dogs. We made the choice of Shadymist after loosing our American Golden–we love the breed in general but wanted to try and avoid the health issues of the American line. Nothing is guaranteed (nature has the final say) but Shadymist is very visible in the breeding lines and Marnie a stickler for making the best choices possible in breeding. We now have a lovely, loving male from Shadymist and he is wonderful! Marnie keeps up with her extended furry family and is an ongoing resource for information. Home raised pups (no cages in a barn or concrete runs, here!) and loved from the moment of birth, the English Cream Golden Retrievers from Shadymist are defintely some of the best!

We’ve left several messages on the kennels phone and haven’t been called back. We were hoping to find a puppy after viewing the website. If the owner won’t return calls prior to making a purchase, what happens after making one. Very disappointed don’t waste your time waiting, definitely go elsewhere.

Note to the breeder,
Please recognize that not all customers are as knowledgeable as you are. As a first time dog owner, i found the response to my inquiry about “english cream labradors” to be quite condesending. Your 1 liner response of non existance of english cream labrador breeders in the entire united states (which is incorrect) and wishing me luck for finding one left me confused for the most part.
Rather than ridiculing the ignorance of customers, it would have been helpful to rectify any misexpectations in a respectful manner.
