Absolutely the best experience we’ve ever had. The store was so clean the staff was absolutely amazing and our new puppy is happy, healthy and well adjusted! We could not be happier with our experience! We were able to see the personality of our new family member before we brought him home and when they place him in our arms he chose us❤️ it truly was beautiful experience!

This review is long overdue! Shout out to Liz & the staff of Petland in Sarasota for the amazing experience in bringing home my Pomeranian puppy ♥️ they provided so much information & assistance & are partnered with one of the best vets I have been to (Sarasota Veterinary Center)

The package they give you along with the pup is worth so much in itself!

Also, the nicest staff who remember all their customers & furpups!

So happy I found Petland & would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for making my first Pom the happiest big sister ever!

It is heartbreaking to share this review. We purchased an 11week old puppy on Nov 8th. We took it to its first Vet appointment on the 10th of November. The Vet informed us that she saw scars indicating a surgery, but that the records that she received from Petland did not list any surgery for our puppy. We told the vet that we purchased the puppy the previous day and that no information about any type of surgery was disclosed to us. We called the Petland customer care center and they said that they would do some research with the breeder. In summary, almost 4 weeks later we were informed that the puppy we purchased was neutered and the surgery was done just a few days before we purchased him! The neutering was done on Nov 3 in Iowa, just one day before the puppy arrived in Florida to be sold to us! The pet store claims they had no knowledge of the surgery and no special care or instructions were given to them or to us so this puppy was not protected or placed under observation of any kind after surgery at only 11 weeks old. Petland represented the puppy that they sold to us as a healthy un-neutered male. We learned through the vet that we purchased a neutered male with 2 different chip numbers listed on his paperwork and health and vaccination records that are extremely suspect. We have tried to speak with corporate to return the puppy since November 12th as we wanted an un-neutered male, but the store states that cannot accept our puppy without “corporate approval”. Corporate refuses to speak with us about the situation even though we purchased every “insurance” option that they offered. It is January and we continue to care for this puppy, still waiting for a resolution. Petland’s has displayed a complete disregard for the health of the puppy or the satisfaction of their customer. The entire ordeal was malicious and fraudulent. Buyer beware!

Our family visited here a couple weeks ago and I was unaware that reservations were a thing before visiting. The staff were so great, friendly, accommodating and also very knowledgeable. They encouraged us to pick a puppy anyways to play with. We played with 3 different puppies to try to find a “perfect match” . The next day my youngest woke up with fever and conjunctivitis in both eyes. Then came never ending fevers and then came a horrible cough with plenty of mucus and elevated heart rate with breathing problems. All symptoms of kennel cough. After a month long of doctor and hospital visits, all sorts of tests , IVs ,no sleep, and undiagnosible “virus” it didn’t matter to anyone that I mentioned this happened after a visit to a puppy shop without mentioning any names nobody listened, some doctors said it was pissible if there was mucus transfer ehich there was, the puppies were everyone knows dogs lick and get your face especially if it’s a child, puppies are energetic and playful , except for one we handled. We were told one even came from a farm, a huge red flag. Yes in 2023 hospitals are incapable of diagnosing strains because they only test for “common viruses”. I wasn’t looking to sue nobody I just wanted my child healthy again. If you are a parent or someone with low immune system , beware a visit here can cost you your life or your child’s. At least make an appointment and make sure the puppies are bathed before handling them. DO NOT LET THE PUPPIES LICK YOU OR YOUR CHILD. It doesnt matter how baccinated the animals are, puppies poop and pee in those kennels and the customers go to touch them!! Despicable and gross.
