15 years ago we picked up our 2 precious goldendoodles from Old Mill Doodles. They remain the best dogs we’ve EVER had with the most gentle, playful dispositions.
They trained easily, too! So smart.. Valerie took the time to socialize them when they were puppies and I know that made a difference. Although our male dood, Dakota, passed away last year, we’re overjoyed to say that we still have his sister, Rory, in good health! People are always amazed at her age. She still gets a trot going in the morning and is the sweetest, healthiest 15 + year old doggy. Thank you, Valerie and Old Mill Doodles!! Hands down, the BEST. When it comes time to bring another doodle home, I would choose Old Mill again!! Photo is Rory at 15!!

We bought a dog from here 12 years ago. Cali Anne has been happy and healthy and a true gift to our family❤️ these dogs definitely require a certain level of care, they need lots of exercise and grooming but if you’re able to give them a good home they are perfect!

I had the unfortunate experience as the previous client of asking Valerie a question that I did not understand in her contract only to be rewarded with rudeness and being told that I could not purchase a puppy. I actually had to call a friend who is not even a breeder to answer my question. Valerie’s response to clients is sad and bewildering. Whatever happened to customer service or just plain being nice.

I went to Valerie with questions about her puppies and was shocked by her response! I am not a current doodle owner and know very little about the breed, and purchasing dogs in general as I am typically a foster and rescue person. However, my daughters have their heart set on a doodle and due to allergies in our family and losing my beloved mutt, it feels like good timing for learning more about this breed. The response that I received from Valerie when asking about how her puppies and dogs are raised was to tell me that I was not a good match for them and that I should be looking elsewhere. After 33 years of experience, and several positive back-and-forth emails, I thought that I had found a great source of information to learn more about doodles! Instead I was immediately shot down after asking one question that she clearly didn’t like. I will not be adopting a dog from Old MILL because transparency and a willingness to answer questions is clearly not a priority to this mill.

Valerie conducts business as a puppy mill breeder. She does not care for dogs or puppies that are produced. She had a local vet prescribe broad spectrum antibiotics for infection she knew this litter had. The medication was unmarked, and known to be unsafe and toxic to newborn puppies. She released this puppy at 8 weeks old knowing he was ill. He became deathly ill in hours after bringing him home. He spent the night and next week in/out of the emergency vet, in renal failure, not expecting to survive. He was passing large blood clots through his urethra, not urinating, not eating, and vomiting and unable to drink and eat. Glad he’s with us & not this clown who runs this puppy mill. She mistreats/abuses the animals she uses to breed. Local authorities have been notified and will take care of this in court. Shame on her.
