I recently purchased a pup from Mark Staloch of Norse Retrievers and couldn’t be happier with her. At 4 months of age. She is retrieving on land and water. Izzy has plenty of drive and the same time settled right into my home. She is very easy to work with. Thanks, Mark for the great pup.

We picked up our puppy from Mark and could not be happier. She will be a family dog but also a hunting companion for my husband. Smart dog and gets along well with our other dog. Mark will be helping us with training too! Strongly recommend if you are looking for a great lab.

What a great experience. Mark notified us of an upcoming litter. We waited and he invited us out when the litter came. A very clean kennel and good temperament with all his dogs. 8 weeks later we brought home “Aspen”. She is a really smart pup. Already bringing back a ball and dummy. Even had a water retrieve! She also gets along with our older lab as you can see in the pic. We recommend Mark for anyone looking for a great family pet or a hunting companion!! We will be brining her back for training in the fall with Mark.

We had a not great experience with Norse Retrievers — be cautious if you plan to send your pet here. It seems they have too many dogs to train at once and don’t spend enough time with each. After almost four long months we expected our dog to be able to do the laundry list of tasks Mark said he would be able to do but this was not the case.
We were told the program would be three months long —the first month and a half or so being obedience and the remaining time hunting training. After three long months we were so excited to pick up our dog but Mark requested to keep him two weeks longer. After three months of training? Really? We reluctantly agreed. After two weeks we called to pick up our dog but Mark again asked us for more time — one more day. He said “they had run into a little bump in the road” regarding their training. ONE MORE DAY?? It had been nearly four months, what is one more day going to do?! This was beyond frustrating.
Our dog came home with some of the skills we were promised, but it was definitely not worth spending a couple thousand dollars and 1/3 of a year without our pet.
