Hero my 4 year old Chocolate Lab is the BEST dog I’ve ever owned. He’s smart, even tempered and so loving. Grateful for my Lankas Lab
We purchased our Fox red puppy in November of 2020. She is now 4 months old and a very smart dog. She is retrieving, sitting on command, and following other simple commands already. She’s a very beautiful dog and high energy. She will be an excellent hunter. She is also a very loving dog which was a very nice surprise.
Update on 9 month old Milo: Today was her first official hunting exercise and WOW, was she amazing. I posted 2 pictures. One is of her pointing and the other retrieving. She is just a fantastic dog.
We purchased our Lankas lab, Marley, 2 years ago and cannot be happier with the decision. Mike was great to work with and you can tell that it is a passion for him. Marley is a beautiful yellow/white lab that can be a friendly family dog one moment and a locked in hunting dog the next. I would highly recommend Lankas.

Very disappointed with Lankas Labs. We got a Lab from Mike in 2004 and he was the best dog known to man. Smart, gentle with the kids, easy going. So, we didn’t hesitate when getting our second Lab in 2017. The first red flag, and when we should’ve backed out, was when Mike tried to give us the pup before he was 8 weeks old. I would not take him, but now I think the pup was actually taken from his mother too young anyway. He was very small when he got him. He also had worms at his first vet visit right after we got him. We love him dearly, but this dog is the most anxious, high strung, stressed out dog I’ve ever had. It’s almost impossible to ride in the car with him…he vomits due to stress…he shows fear aggression toward other animals…he’s a “runner” and a terrible listener despite excellent training (the same our other dog had)…he’s a “marker” indoors and out…we’ve had to start medicating him to get his nails clipped. This list goes on. On top of that, he does not look like a Lab. He has very small ears and a VERY deep chest. Any time anyone meets him they ask “what kind of dog is he?”…or “what mix is he?”. He looks nothing like our other Lab or the beautiful Labs showcased on the Lankas website.
Bought a dog from Mike Lankas this last spring. I picked up the dog and noticed it had a bad left eye (the eye was grey). I contacted Mike and he told me he knew about the bad eye as he had his vet look at it (Mike did not disclose this to me until I confronted him.) I had several vets look at the dog and they all told me he was partially blind in that eye. Mike had me send him photos and video. After sending the last video he told me he wanted to see it “running into walls” so he could confirm it was blind/effecting the dogs vision. I finally had enough and told him I was going go pursue legal action. Mike decided to refund part of my money. I am very dissapointed with my experience with Lankas Labs.
