We’ve analyzed all available reviews for this breeder and summarized our findings below for your convenience!
Labradoodles of Montana is a highly regarded breeder with a strong reputation for producing beautiful, well-behaved puppies. Customers have mentioned that the puppies have wonderful dispositions, are well socialized, and come from parents that are well cared for and fully health tested.
The breeder invests a lot of time and effort into their breeding program, which is evident in the videos and pictures they regularly post. Shelly, the owner, is described as professional, caring, and knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions.
The breeder's facility is also highly praised, described as a "dog's dream."
However, one negative review mentions vet bills and a dispute over the purchase contract. It states that the previous owner, who had a different policy, was uncooperative after the business was sold.
This review raises concerns about the risk of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and the breeder's lack of support. Overall, Labradoodles of Montana is recommended for those looking for a well-bred, well-cared-for puppy with a good temperament.
However, potential customers should be aware of the issues mentioned in the negative review and may want to seek clarification on their policies regarding health guarantees and contract terms.

I have been dealing with Labradoodles of Montana the last two years. They are professional, caring people in all their dealings, their dogs are beautiful and well cared for. Not a back yard breeder or puppy mill. You can be confident in purchasing a puppy from Shelly, knowing the parents are well cared for and fully health tested, and much loved! I expect to see many beautiful puppies and happy customers in their future.

I just bought my 2nd pup from Shelly and Labradoodles of Montana and I was so impressed with how well behaved they already were. Both potty trained, and it was obvious they had been loved on a lot. I’ve been to Shelly’s place 3 times now, and it’s a dog’s dream! Shelly is very professional, loves all of her dogs, and I wouldn’t get a puppy anywhere else!

We recently got a puppy from Labradoodles of Montana and couldn’t be happier with the puppy we got. She has a wonderful disposition, is well socialized, and is beautiful. After interacting with the owner and watching the videos and pictures that they continually post, I can tell that they invest a lot of time, energy and heart into their breeding program. Shelly was great about answering my many, many questions. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any pup from this breeder. We will definitely be coming back again some day.

BUYER BEWARE. I purchased a pup in November 2020 and have had nothing but escalating vet bills. It seems Labradoodles of Montana come with a high risk of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. To my surprise, the business has been sold and the new owner has no interest in honoring the purchase contract. When speaking with the previous owner, I am told the only option (per the contract language) is paragraph a below; option b below, which is my preference is no longer available:
5. A warranty against all serious life altering inherited disease is provided for two
years from the date of birth confirmed by two unassociated veterinarians, one to
be of Buyers choosing and one to be of Breeders choosing, thereby causing
puppy to be unsuitable as a pet. If puppy is diagnosed with a serious life altering
inherited disease Buyer shall have of one of the following options:
a) Should Buyer choose to keep the puppy, Breeder will refund 50% of the
companion pet price originally paid (less shipping) that was originally paid
for the puppy. Supporting veterinary reports are required. 50% refund
does not apply to any testing, veterinary bills, shipping or travel costs,
which the Buyer might incur. Buyer understands that in choosing this
option that any and all further guarantees of the puppy’s two year health
guarantee are null and void.
b) Should Buyer choose to relinquish ownership of the puppy to Breeder,
Breeder will provide a replacement puppy from another litter as soon as
such a puppy is available. Buyer must pay for any shipping or
miscellaneous charges associated with transport of the replacement
puppy.
It does not appear, to me, anywhere in the contract does it say, in the event of sale of business, only option a is available.
What has been presented to me seems to be a breach of contract.
My pup is a beautiful companion; however, just a warning; be prepared to spend a lot of money on vet bills; and don’t expect any support from either the current, or previous, owner.
