I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Kentucky labs. They were very responsive to all inquiries, made themselves available for me to come by from out of town and available for questions after I got my dog. Most of all I got the healthiest, most beautiful dog in the world. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. You can’t go wrong getting a dog from them.

I would love to give them 5 stars but I have continuously tried to contact them by phone, email, and Facebook for the past 2 weeks inquiring about a black Labrador. No one has gotten back with me.

WARNING!!!! This breed of dog is AGGRESSIVE!!! That’s not just me saying it, this is coming from multiple veterinarians, trainers and surgeons. It’s with a VERY heavy heart that we have struggled with our beloved silver lab, Dakota for the past 4 years.
Since day 1, this puppy has launched and bit everything she could reach. We thought it was teething, but it became very clear that this was not normal. This dog has been our biggest challenge, greatest sadness in our dog owning lives.
She has attacked us multiple times in various situations and sadly recently, attacked a friend. We have tried to do everything right for this dog. We had her professionally trained, we’ve taken excellent care of her, only showing her love and affection. She is my husband’s best friend which makes this all the more difficult.
It is heartbreaking, but we have reached a point that she either goes to a trainer to become a police dog or hunting dog perhaps or we will have no choice but to put her down.
We LOVE dogs and care greatly for all of our animals.
Something wasn’t right with her, from the beginning. I contacted the breeder, but he said he’d never heard of this aggressive side before, yet we’ve come to learn that it’s very common with silver labs. In fact, I was stopped on the road while walking my dog by another silver lab owner and he asked me when the biting stops.
This type of breeding and mass breeding of an aggressive dog should be regulated. This breeder in particular, while a nice and kind man who runs a clean operation, is no different than any puppy mill.
Puppies should not be given to new owners before 8 weeks at minimum and he is happy to hand them off at 6. This is not responsible breeding. For him, like so many others i feel as though he is doing this for financial gain only.
I’m sorry that I have to write this. I’ve never written a review for anything EVER, but I feel it is my responsibility to warn the public.
Please do the research on the silver labs and the breeding behind them. We thought we were getting a great family dog and it has been anything but.
