DAPHNE DOWNARD

I am disappointed to say that Kathy’s Golden Retrievers sold my husband and I a Golden Retriever Boy with Severe Congenital Heart Disease, confirmed through an Echocardiogram and EKG done in Tallahassee at “Capital Vets”, a specialty hospital.
Our boy was diagnosed with Subaortic Stenosis
at 6 months old. Unfortunately, this diagnosis will lead to either “sudden death” from heart attack at anytime or congestive heart failure by 3-4 years of age.
When I contacted Kathy to discuss his illness she stated that was sad but there are no guarantees even for congenital health problems. Of course we didn’t want to return our baby, but had thought she would possibly refund a portion of the purchase price to help cover extensive vet bills that will continue.
I don’t usually post negative reviews but this is breaking our hearts to know we will lose our “Dexter” pup at such a young age and I am hoping to save others from this heartache.
Please be sure the state you purchase your new fur baby in has laws requiring guarantee regarding Congenital heath problems.
