We got our 9 month old Golden from Muddy Goldens and could not be happier. We have always had dogs and several were Goldens. Several of our dogs were rescues and many had genetic issues that shortened their life. We purposely looked for a Golden and one with verifiable genetics. That’s not a guarantee things wont happen but it helps. When we talked with Cindy at Muddy Goldens we both shared what we were looking for and Cindy went through things she would like to see in an owner. One item I wanted was a dog that hopefully loved the water as I always take my daughters Golden on trips with me (Canada) but she is getting older and the time will come when I need a new boat companion. Cindy looks at the dogs and tries her best to match the right dog with the right family. We took the dog on a trip to the lake and he is a beast in the water. Loves the boat, loves to swim and loves the water. (Not all Goldens are water dogs contrary to what many believe). He is also very friendly with dogs and people, has been relatively easy to train and an absolute delight. He is in his teen years now and he isn’t perfect – he has his games he likes to play to see what his limits are as any teen would play. He learned really early to ring a bell to go out and has been great at that. He also isn’t afraid of loud noises and he isn’t afraid to swim, look in the bush on retrieves, and while he is a curious dog he isn’t dumb about wandering off. In general, like any dog, if you as an owner are willing to put the time and effort into building a trusting relationship with the pup you won’t be disappointed. He is also a beautiful looking Golden. We would certainly buy another one.

We got our puppy in the summer of 2022, and have only good things to say about Muddy Goldens. We looked into several golden breeders before finding Muddy Goldens, and knew immediately they were a quality breeder who cared about their dogs. Cindy was very transparent and informative with us throughout the entire adoption process. We could always reach out to them with questions we had along the way, even after we brought our puppy home. We received updates frequently on both the mom and puppies from before they were born until the day we picked them up. The entire process was very smooth. We highly recommend, and cannot wait to get a second dog from them in a few years.

We got our puppy, Molly, almost one year ago, and could not be happier with her. She has the perfect temperament, is athletic, energetic, sweet, goofy, easy to train and fun – everything you would want in a Golden!
We have experience with dogs, and it was evident from the start that the breeder had worked hard to expose the pups to a variety of different things/noises/experiences when they were little. Our puppy was not scared of anything when we brought her home, was very comfortable around people and dogs.
We were recently at the vet and confirmed that she is just as healthy as she appears!
This is an excellent place to go for your new family member. We are so happy – you will be, too!
