In 2006, after searching websites and going to many pet adoptions I found Lab Retriever Club of Potomac where Golden Moon Labs had listed lab puppies. I had never had time for pets while working and traveling around the world so I needed guidance and Ellen Moon was wonderful mentor who walked me through the key elements of her breeding and my ownership of a Golden Moon Labrador yellow lab.
Thirteen years later and with lots of communication with this very busy breeder over the years, I am still the proud owner of a wonderful, healthy yellow lab. We have experienced the usual ailments of Labs/dogs. When a soft tissue tore in my Labs knee at 9 yrs old, Ellen recommended laser treatments (vs expensive major surgery) and my Vet in Florida was on board and very pleased with the outcome.
My experience w Golden Moon Labs has led me to want another well bred lab from this very reputable breeder….. when the time comes.
As a reference, I have worked in traditional medicine all my career but appreciate appropriate holistic options and have not found recommendations from Golden Moon Labs unusuall.
