I looked for over 6 months for a Golden Retriever breeder – visiting each place. It is important to visit the place, so you can see first hand how the dogs are bred, the facilities, etc. At one place, my mom didn’t even get out of the car. The minute I met Robin and saw the amazing facility, the way she was with her dogs, I knew I had found the right place! When the puppies are born, Robyn and her family bring them inside the house to hold and play with them, so they are socialized from the “get-go”. Once the puppies were born, she would send pictures, and she would always answer my texts. I was able to fly out to pick out our puppies, and Chief and Winston are now 4 months, super smart and loving! They had us at “woof”! Just know that I did the research for you – and you can’t go wrong getting your next addition to your family at ERC!

Reached out February 2020 and got to bring my good boy home 5/18/2020. They we’re great answering questions and helping a first time dog owner. When I’m ready for another pup I will most certainly be going through Elk River Companions.

We got our Benjamin from them and at 9 months old he has been the best dog we have ever had. Considering getting another one this winter. Their pups are very consistent. We have numerous friends who purchased and recommended them to us. Very friendly, knowledgable breeders.

Be aware, this breeder’s website was hacked, and after contacting them through the website I got a response from someone who scammed me out of 500$. I realize this is a sophisticated attack, and normal dog people may not be equipped to handle this type of thing, but I wanted to put something out here publicly as I was not contacted during this process.
EDIT: Will remove this after some time as I don’t believe the business was responsible for this, though if they were more careful with their passwords it could help prevent this from happening again.
