Sunnye’s Pups have the best Golden Retrievers around! They are honest, professional, and so very helpful. We have 2 pups – Griffin – 5 years and Delta 3 years. We are traveling in a trailer and have received so many praises and compliments for the both of them. We have Lucy and she is amazing and she is almost a year and a half.

I put down my deposit for a female golden retriever. Was told the next litter would not be for another six months or so but I was willing to wait.
The gentleman I spoke with’s wife ran the business- and had just recently passed away and he was going to try and take over, so I was patient and understanding. He told me that his website was currently down because the company that was previously hosting it would no longer be used, therefore I couldn’t see their breeding and specifics to purchass online. I specified the gender and color, price for Dog with breeding rights, sent my deposit and went on. A few months later I was notified that the breeding wasn’t successful and it would be a few more months to wait, I was patient and waited. I called back to check the status a couple of months later just to ensure my deposit was still good and we were still on the same page. I was told that I did not specify a color and they did not know if they could meet my preference but that they would try, he was rude and hateful. That was a red flag. Once the puppies we’re finally on the ground, I was notified by a different individual that I had spoke with before, a lady who is now taking over the business again. I was sent pictures of which puppy I wanted to pick out. I specified which one I wanted and wanted to make sure I got breeding rights still to which she told me absolutely not and I would have to pay more than what they originally quoted me. She told me this information was on the website, which was not working at the time I put my deposit down and was going off trust and good faith of original man I spoke with. All the circumstances suddenly started changing and they refused to give me back my deposit when they never kept their word to begin with. There was a little bit of something in the ladies voice, I could almost tell she wanted to do the right thing but she wouldn’t do it. I would seriously be hesitant from purchasing any puppy from them, given the lack of integrity and communication they’ve demonstrated. Also, they claim to have over 25 years of experience. The company is 25 years old, but it’s had multiple owners and for dog breeding, that’s not the same thing.

Practicality no communication after the deposit in mid 2021. March 2022, called to tell us a dog was ready to pickup next few days, 3 hours away. We were never told when the dogs were born, gender available, etc Cannot comment to the quality of dog breeding, but if it’s anything like how they handled customer communication, I wouldn’t be optimistic. Plenty of other breeders that provide a much better experience.

Was talking to them about adoption on a retired adult, when I asked if the dog was outside 247 including these conditions (freezing temp) and had human interaction I was blocked. If this is the case they need to be shut down, this is abuse! I was legitimately interested in adoption but I’m looking for what kind of dog I’m getting from what conditions. Is it guilt causing me to be blocked ? Why block someone asking that.
