First time bringing my 16 year old dog, they took me right on time, asked me great questions, listened to my concerns. I was called and texted 30 minutes before I could pick her up and she was ready right on time. They asked how I felt about the haircut and offered to do a bit more if I thought she needed it. They took her back upstairs did what I asked and she looks great. It was a perfect experience. I will definitely recommend American Academy of Dog Grooming to anyone who asks and will definitely go back. Highly recommend.

The teachers are awesome ( Lloyd and Eddie ) ; and Jamie- so fun and friendly – leads you through the whole process of getting started –

We take our miniature poodle here to be groomed. They do a great job and it is very affordable. My dog loves going there too!

Been going here for a few years now and recently things have taken a turn for the worse. Our dog had a small cut last time we he was groomed, not okay but also small enough that I can see how it might have been overlooked. This time our dog came back with multiple cuts one significant cut that could not have been missed and made it a little uncomfortable for him to walk for a day. Accidents happen but they should have said something, an apology, or at least tell me so I know to keep that area clean until it heals. I feel terrible having left him all day getting hurt with these folks. Never again. If there was a zero star rating and red alert warning I would choose that.
It’s a school, I never cared that they were disorganized or how his haircut turned out.
Just don’t hurt the dogs!!!!!

This place is so badly organized. Who ever they have picking up the phone needs to be trained. I called to get a cat groomed, a simple shaving and after three times of rescheduling, there’s always a new excuse — this place isn’t cat friendly. They shouldn’t even include that they provide services to cats when they clearly don’t. Will not recommend, 1 star.

Unfortunately my first experience ever with a groomer and it wasn’t so great…From start to finish the communication was atrocious as I was never informed students would be performing the service until 1 hour after dropping my dog off. The cut is well below average as there are long patches of hair throughout the body, Her ears and head were completely ignored, the bathing seems non existent, The beard is completely crooked, and the nail trimmings looks as though the blade was very very dull….
I no way blame students but the instructors who should have payed better attention to detail in communication and the hair city to guide their students in accomplishing better work.
