Absolute Gun Dogs Customer Reviews Summary
We’ve analyzed all available reviews for this breeder and summarized our findings below for your convenience!
The reviews for this specific golden retriever breeder have mixed opinions. One reviewer had a negative experience with one of the employees or owners not practicing safe driving while on the road, which they found reckless and unnecessary.
However, another customer had a positive experience with their German shorthair pointer being tired and satisfied after being taken out with the gun dogs for training. On the other hand, they were disappointed when their dog caught kennel cough from the breeder's facility and no compensation or resolution was offered.
This raised concerns about the breeder's standards and the increase in boarding costs. Overall, potential customers should consider both the positive experiences with dog training and the negative experience with the lack of care for kennel cough prevention when making a decision.

I have taken my German shorthair pointer several times now, once even over the long Christmas haul. Most of the time when I picked her up, she was excited to be going home, and was asleep in the car before we made it back to town. I was glad she was worn out, as I would request she be taken out with the gun dogs that train in the field. She would have some scratches or scabs here and there, which I attributed to her being taken out with the field dogs. This past weekend, she caught kennel cough from here. When I called Absolute to inform them (and give them a chance to make the situation right), they admitted several other dogs caught it as well. Nothing was offered for the hassle. I was disappointed that they treat kennel cough as if it is a risk of taking a dog to a kennel. I understand that that is in fact a risk, but would have expected higher standards. I’m now concerned about bringing my dog there again, especially since they raised their boarding costs.

I havent actually used the services here but I did want to comment about how one of the employees or owners doesnt practice safe driving. Me and my husband were driving in Missouri where we had just had several inches of snow fall in the few days before. Two lanes were turning into one, and the Male driver refused to slow and felt the need to speed up to get in front of us. He almost hit us, because that second lane he was in that was merging into ours had ended already – he was now in our lane. I had my 2 month old son in the car. I felt it was reckless and unnecessary since how there was nobody behind us and he gained zero distance from the encounter.
